My story. Part 1 – The Encounter

My name is Raindolf Owusu, I became born again in the year 2017 through my wife and ever since then, I have desired Jesus Christ and the things of Him. To give you a bit of background, I lived the life of an uncommitted Christian for many years and barely went to church, although I knew the things of God. I was a successful software developer who had been featured on Forbes, the KSM show and many more. I was busy chasing money, fame and success. I never took the God factor seriously, but there was always a thing or two about God that stood out for me, but I never probed or asked questions; until I began dating my then girlfriend (now wife), whose requirement for a husband was “a God fearing man”. She invited me to an “all-night” prayer meeting at a community football park almost immediately we started dating, hosted by a prophet of God from her church. I was hesitant initially but decided to give it a try one evening. It was quite a long night for me the first time I attended and I couldn’t really understand how people could pray through the night. What were they praying about? I attended again and continued going to the park for these bi-weekly all-night prayers, but not to meet God; only to please my girlfriend. I later realized there was a magnet that drew me to church or God. I began to enjoy going to the park to pray.

At that time in my life, I had a few addictions. I was addicted to pornography and cigarettes. Although I was going to church, I was still engaging in these vices. After I got married in the latter part of 2017, I decided to take this “God thing” seriously by giving up on smoking and masturbating after a few things happened. Thieves broke into my marital home 24 hours after my wedding and this opened my eyes to the realities of life. It was as if scales fell off my eyes, although the thieves did not make away with anything, because someone saw them and alerted the whole neighborhood. I was troubled. Also, I listened to a number of sermons by a man of God called Apostle Joseph Kwadwo Yeboah who preached heavily on family patterns and demonic altars. His sermons were so profound and very relevant to my life. I could identify with many of the things he preached about. The experience with the thieves and the sermons that convicted me, caused me to make a very important decision that marked a turning point in my walk with Jesus; I decided to quit smoking. I took the last pack of cigarettes I had, and gave it to my wife. We prayed over the pack, walked over to the bin and threw it away! To God be the glory, from then till today, I have never smoked or masturbated. This is what the power of God can do.

In February 2018, my wife and I went on our honeymoon, after putting it on hold after we got married. At the hotel, deep sleep fell on me and I had a dream – prior to this notable dream, I barely remembered my dreams. So in this dream I was in a safari-like place, with many strange animals. I saw dinosaurs walking about, which shocked me because I always thought they were fictional. I also saw huge eagles, bigger than any eagle or picture of eagle I had seen before. In the dream, I was seated in a convertible car with a faceless man. The vehicle had no driver and we were moving with speed. At this point I realized I was in paradise. The dream was so real and the place was the most peaceful and beautiful place I have ever seen. The surroundings were so natural and beautiful. There were huge mountains and big trees. In the spirit world you know things; I knew immediately we were in paradise or a place in Heaven. The Apostle Paul spoke about similar encounter in 2 Corinthians 12: 3 And I know such a man—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows— 4 how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

The flowers, trees and animals I saw were so beautiful and very unique. Their colors were so unique. The place was so peaceful and very glorious. Then the faceless man sitting next to me in this convertible car said this to me: “ stop listening to man and I will speak to you”. Immediately He said these words, I woke up. This was my first encounter with God. When I woke up I was amazed; it felt so real and I did not understand everything, but I knew for sure I had encountered the supernatural.

My walk with God from that day changed. I began to have frequent dreams, hearing the voice of the Lord through visions and hearing His audible voice. On the 2nd of June, 2023 I had an encounter with Jesus Christ. He appeared in my living room in a trance and commissioned me to start this blog called “Glorious Blog”, where He instructed me to share about how He has led me in ministry and to preach about Him. This is the reason for this blog. You would have thought someone already owned the domain name, as has been my experience with purchasing other domain names; however when I checked online it was available, so I quickly bought the domain that same morning.

The goal of this blog is to learn how you can also be led by God. God’s desire is to speak to you. Job 33: 14-15 reads, “For God may speak in one way, or in another, Yet man does not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, When deep sleep falls upon men, While slumbering on their beds”. God has spoken to me through many mediums; through His word (the Bible), dreams, nature and through His prophets.
