I hope you have been enjoying the God of Ideas series. If you are new to it, God of Ideas is a series about how God gives His children divine ideas to solve critical problems in society. Today, I want to speak about the need for divine intelligence when building your God-given idea and executing it according to the pattern God has shown you.
What Is Divine Intelligence?
In 2 Kings 6:8–10, the king of Syria was at war with Israel and secretly planned where his army would camp. God revealed those locations to the prophet Elisha, who warned the king of Israel. The information was accurate and enabled the king of Israel to remain watchful and avoid the enemy’s ambushes on several occasions.
This is what I call divine intelligence. God can warn you specifically about people, places and partnerships that may either frustrate or help you as you build your God-given idea. This is supernatural knowledge that God can give you to put you ahead in your industry.
In Genesis 41, God revealed to Pharaoh that Egypt would experience seven years of great abundance followed by seven years of severe famine. In His mercy, God gave Pharaoh divine intelligence about what was coming, and this helped Egypt prepare for the future.
Divine intelligence is necessary when building a God-given idea. Let me give you three reasons why.
Protection From Hidden Motives
Some industries have gatekeepers. There are people you need to be cautious of who may appear well-meaning but have ulterior motives. You may share your idea with someone, only to discover later that the person has replicated it.
God can reveal and warn you about such people. These are things you may not see in the physical, but God can reveal them to you in the spirit. He may also warn you to stay away from certain partnerships. His warning might not make sense in the beginning, but it would become clear later.
Knowledge Beyond Human Limitations
God gives us divine intelligence because our natural knowledge is limited. Science is limited, and what we think we know is also limited because knowledge is still progressing.
You may build on certain assumptions that are no longer relevant by the time you are ready to deploy your idea. God can give you a glimpse into the future so that, based on that intelligence, you can build for what is coming.
God told Noah that a great flood was coming. It is not recorded that the astrologers of his day had received such information. The science of that time would not have had a record of an event like that great flood. It took divine intelligence to know what was coming and how to prepare for it.
An Advantage Through God
Thirdly, God gives you divine intelligence to give you an advantage over those who trust only in human strength, contacts or technology. Psalm 20:7 speaks of some trusting in chariots and others in horses, while God’s people remember and trust in the name of the Lord.
God wants to demonstrate His sovereignty and greatness. When you trust and have faith in Him, He can use your ideas to confound the wise. As 1 Corinthians 1:27 teaches, God chooses what the world considers foolish and weak to put the wise and mighty to shame.
Are you ready for God to give you an idea and work with you to use that idea to confound the mighty and the wise?
Seeking Divine Intelligence
Divine intelligence comes through intimacy with God, prayer, inquiry and Bible reading. Have you prayed fervently to God about your industry and what is to come?
Proverbs 25:2 teaches that it is God’s glory to conceal a matter and the glory of kings to search it out. God loves it when we come to Him with questions, and He responds to our requests.
There are many biblical examples of God responding to people’s inquiries and giving them information about the future. In Daniel 2, Nebuchadnezzar wanted to know what would happen in the future. God revealed the answer to Daniel, who explained that “the God who reveals secrets” had shown the king what was to come.
In Genesis 25, Rebekah went to God with an inquiry because the children in her womb were struggling. God told her that she was carrying two nations and revealed what the future held for her sons. Rebekah went to God with a question, and He spoke to her about what she was carrying and what was ahead.
We must learn to inquire of God about what is coming in our industries. He has promised in Jeremiah 33:3 that when we call on Him, He will answer and show us great and mighty things that we do not know.
Divine Intelligence About the Future
Over the last few years, God has revealed many things to me about what is coming in my industry and other critical sectors. Some relate directly to me, while others concern people to whom I am connected.
For instance, in 2024, God began showing me electric vehicle charging stations in many places across Ghana, and this has come to pass. There are now many electric vehicle charging stations in Accra.
God has also shown me that airplanes, not only drones, will soon be operated by people on the ground. I have seen a future in which people will have virtual reality versions of themselves moving through cities in real time.
Finally, I have seen that military weaponry will become largely automated. The next form of warfare may not be fought primarily by humans, but by systems such as artificial intelligence powered robotic dogs, armoured vehicles, etc.
